MINNEAPOLIS (11/21/08) -- Justina DeBruzzi (FY, Lino Lakes, Minn./Centennial HS) and Amy Zimniewicz (SO, River Falls, Wis./Cretin-Derham Hall HS) each had two-goal nights, with Zimniewicz adding an assist for a three-point night, as the University of St. Thomas scored an 8-0 win over Augsburg College in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's hockey game on Friday night at the Augsburg Ice Arena.

Twelve different players figured in the scoring for the Tommies (5-0-0 overall, 3-0-0 MIAC), the No. 10-ranked team in the U.S. College Hockey Online Division III national poll. Goalie Toni Menth (JR, Buffalo, Minn.) recorded 41 saves for Augsburg (0-4-0 overall, 0-3-0 MIAC), as the Tommies outshot the Auggies by a 49-12 margin. Lindsey Wilson (FY, South St. Paul, Minn.) collected the shutout for the Tommies with 12 saves in goal.

St. Thomas scored twice in a 1:25 span midway through the first period, then added two goals in a 1:20 span early in the second period to take command. The Tommies also went 3-for-8 on the power-play, with Augsburg going 0-for-6.

For Augsburg, Sara Toft (JR, Alexandria, Minn./Jefferson HS) had four shots on goal and Whitney Restemayer (JR, Bemidji, Minn.) had three shots on goal.

The teams complete the MIAC series on Saturday (11/22) at 7 p.m. at the UST/St. Thomas Academy Arena in Mendota Heights.
