ARDEN HILLS, Minn. (2/23/08) -- Bethel University's Annegret Nautsch (JR, Seattle, Wash.) fell two blocked shots short of her second triple-double of the season against Augsburg College, as the center scored 29 points with 22 rebounds and eight blocked shots in the Royals' 80-60 win over the Auggies in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's basketball season finale for both teams on Saturday afternoon at Bethel's Robertson Center.

Erica Hormig (SO, Windom, Minn.) scored 18 points with nine rebounds and four blocked shots for Bethel (12-13 overall, 9-13 MIAC), while Jess Gilpin (SO, St. Francis, Minn.) scored nine points.

Michelle Richter (JR, Chaska, Minn.) scored 14 points with four rebounds and four steals to lead Augsburg (7-18 overall, 5-17 MIAC). Playing in her final collegiate game, Kristina Lurken * (SR, Kenyon, Minn./Kenyon-Wanamingo HS) scored 11 points with seven assists, five rebounds and four steals, and Megan Krumrie (SR, Elk Mound, Wis.) also closed her collegiate career with a double-figure scoring game, with 11 points, six rebounds and three steals.

The game was a close one early, but Bethel pulled away midway through the first half on the strength of a 13-4 run, building a 26-17 lead with 6:05 left. The Royal led eventually spread to 38-26 at halftime, and the Royals held a double-digit lead throughout the second half.

Bethel connected on 56.6 percent shooting from the field (30-of-53), compared to just 27.6 percent by Augsburg (21-of-76). The Royals also outrebounded the Auggies by a 52-33 margin and claimed 14 blocked shots in the game.

Melanie Wigen (FY, Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Simley HS) scored nine points for Augsburg, while Katie LaGrave * (SR, Okinawa, Japan/Kadena HS) scored four points.

The game was the final collegiate contest for five Augsburg seniors -- Lurken, LaGrave, Richter, Noreen Hogan (Sr, Moline, Ill./Alleman HS) and Taylor Ray (SR, Two Harbors, Minn.). LaGrave and Lurken finished their careers sixth and eighth, respectively, on Augsburg's career scoring list. LaGrave finished her career with 974 points, while Lurken finished with 966 points..
