MINNEAPOLIS -- Jim Jensen (JR, Plymouth, Minn./Osseo HS), Nick Guran (SO, McHenry, Ill./McHenry East HS) and Chris Johnson (SR, Verona, Wis./Madison Memorial HS) scored goals for Augsburg College, as the Auggies claimed a 3-2 victory over Concordia University-Wisconsin in a nonconference men's hockey game on Friday night at the Augsburg Ice Arena.

Justin Lochner (FY, Sauk Rapids, Minn./Sauk Rapids-Rice HS) collected 23 saves in goal for the victory for Augsburg (3-3-1 overall), which outshot Concordia-Wisconsin (0-8-0) by a 40-25 margin.

Dustin Partacz (FY, Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley HS) and Jonathan Smith (JR, Pittsburgh, Pa./Plum Borro HS) scored third-period goals for Concordia, with goalie Michael Wyenn (JR, Thousand Oaks, Calif./Westlake HS) collecting 37 saves.

The Auggies scored twice in the first period to claim the lead. Jensen scored an unassisted goal off a faceoff at the 8:45 mark, and Guran scored a power-play goal off a feed from Mario Mjelleli (JR, Faribault, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) at the 17:27 mark.

Augsburg took a 3-0 lead at the 14:05 mark of the third period, as Johnson scored from Tyler Antony (SR, Buffalo, Minn.) and Kris Reinthaler (FY, Graz, Austria/Spring Creek Academy (Texas) HS).

The Falcons got on the scoreboard 75 seconds later, as Partacz took a feed from Josh Farnam (JR, Waukesha, Wis./Waukesha South HS) and scored on a breakaway. Concordia cut the lead to 3-2 with 1:23 left, as Smith scored from Andy Meyer (JR, Janesville, Minn./Waseca HS) and Tyler Fischer (SO, Hudson, Wis.).

The teams complete the nonconference series on Saturday (11/21) at 2 p.m. at the Augsburg Ice Arena.
