DUBUQUE, Iowa -- Lacey Hoover (JR, Duluth, Minn./Central HS) scored her second goal of the season in the 50th minute, leading Augsburg College to a 1-1 tie in two overtimes at Loras College in a nonconference women's soccer game on Friday night at the Rock Bowl.
Hoover scored the Auggies' (1-0-1 overall) lone goal of the game on an assist from Courtney Gamrath (SO, St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville HS). Loras (0-1-1 overall) tied the game in the 64th minute, as Jayne Eslinger scored an unassisted goal.
Loras outshot Augsburg by a 19-4 margin, but Augsburg goalkeeper Diana Bocklund (FY, Mahtomedi, Minn.) came up big again, with eight saves in 110 minutes of work.
Augsburg continues its road trip to start the season on Sunday (9/6) at 3 p.m., with a game at Wisconsin-La Crosse.
