Auggies fall at St. Catherine

MINNEAPOLIS -- Grace Edgar (SR, Plano, Texas/Plano West HS) recorded 31 saves in goal for Augsburg College, but the Auggies dropped a 7-0 decision against St. Catherine University in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's hockey game on Saturday afternoon at Ridder Arena.

St. Catherine (5-1-0 overall, 4-0-0 MIAC) outshot Augsburg (0-7-0 overall, 0-4-0 MIAC) by a 38-16 margin to score the victory.

Megan Boehmer scored two goals, while Meghan Lange had a goal and assist for the Wildcats, as six different St. Catherine players scored in the win. Kayla Lange had 16 saves in goal for St. Catherine.

Augsburg's Katie Lamirande (SO, Cloquet, Minn.) and Erin Leyden (SR, Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard South HS) had four shots on goal apiece, while Jeanna Dudley (SO, Lindenhurst, Ill./Lakes Community HS) and Kressi Lehn (SR, Rogers, Minn.) had two shots each.

Augsburg returns to MIAC play after the Thanksgiving break with a series against St. Benedict on Dec. 3-4.
