DULUTH, Minn. -- Grace Edgar (SR, Plano, Texas/Plano West HS) collected 24 saves in goal, but her Augsburg College women's hockey team dropped a 3-0 decision to the College of St. Scholastica in a nonconference women's game on Friday evening at the Mars Lakeview Arena.

Cara McAnnis and Briana Stephens had a goal and assist each for St. Scholastica (1-0-0), playing its first game in program history before 1,246 fans. Jana Henry also scored for the Saints, and Briget Cojocar had two assists.

St. Scholastica outshot Augsburg (0-3-0) by a 27-17 margin in the game. Jenna Knudtson (SR, Austin, Minn.) and Erica Berthold (SO, Issaquah, Wash.) had four shots each for the Auggies, while Kressi Lehn (SR, Rogers, Minn.) and Jessica Larkin (SO, Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville South HS) had two shots each.

Augsburg opens Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play next weekend with a two-game series against St. Thomas. Next Friday's (11/12) game is at 7 p.m. at the Augsburg Ice Arena, while next Saturday's (11/13) game is at 2 p.m. at the St. Thomas Arena in Mendota Heights, Minn.
