MINNEAPOLIS -- A goal off a throw-in 52 seconds into the second overtime gave the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse a 1-0 victory over host Augsburg College in a nonconference women's soccer game on Tuesday evening at Edor Nelson Field.

Chelsea Hall (SR, Lakeville, Minn.) took a throw-in from Kristin Brown (JR, Madison, Wis./LaFollette HS) and put a shot in the net for the lone goal of the game for the Eagles (5-2-0 overall).

Augsburg (2-3-2 overall) goalkeeper Katie Gajewski (FY, Wausau, Wis./Wausau East HS), making just her second collegiate start, collected five saves in the game as Wisconsin-La Crosse outshot Augsburg by a 24-15 margin -- a 20-8 advantage in the second half and overtime.

"This game was very disappointing," said Augsburg head coach Mike Navarre. "Soccer is a humbling game, and unless you play hard and with energy the entire match, every match, you will struggle to get consistent results. We gave up an inexcusable goal in overtime. I thought we had fixed that error, apparently not. I know we will give a much better effort on Friday against Macalester."

Carly Reimer (SO, Eagan, Minn./Henry Sibley HS) and Kelsey Sorensen (SO, Eden Prairie, Minn.) had three shots each for the Auggies, while Bri Dorale (SO, Ramsey, Minn./Anoka HS) and Bri Clark (SO, Mound, Minn./Mound-Westonka HS) had two shots.

Emily Wick (SO, North Mankato, Minn./Mankato West HS) had seven saves in goal for Wisconsin-La Crosse.

Augsburg returns to Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play on Friday (924) at 7:30 p.m., with a game at Macalester -- the first of six straight games on the road for the Auggies.
