MINNEAPOLIS -- Kressi Lehn (SR, Rogers, Minn.) and Whitney Pratt (SR, Mitchell, S.D.) scored two goals apiece, leading the Augsburg College women's hockey team to a 5-1, nonconference victory over Finlandia University (Mich.) on Monday afternoon at Ed Saugestad Rink.

Pratt added an assist for a three-point effort for the Auggies (2-8-1 overall), who outscored Finlandia (0-10-0 overall) by an 8-2 margin in the two-game series.

Jenna Knudtson (SR, Austin, Minn.) scored the other Auggie goal, and Elise Hedlund (SR, Robbinsdale, Minn./Cooper HS), Diana Bocklund (SO, Pine Springs, Minn./Mahtomedi HS) and Sandra Hinz (SO, Stockholm, Sweden/Solna Gymnasium HS) had two assists apiece.

Finlandia's lone goal came from Robin Stockwell (FY, Chelsea, Mich.), who scored from Jolene Kneebone (JR, Houghton, Mich.) at the 2:33 mark of the third period.

The Auggies scored the first three goals of the game, with Lehn scoring from Pratt at the 10:23 mark of the first period, and Lehn scoring her second goal on a power-play tally 32 seconds into the second period, assisted by Hinz and Bocklund. Pratt made it a 3-0 lead with a goal at the 5:15 mark of the second frame, assisted by Hedlund and Hinz.

Augsburg scored twice in the third period, with Knudtson scoring from Jessica Larkin (SO, Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville South HS) and Erin Leyden (SR, Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard South HS) at the 5:37 mark, and Pratt putting her second goal in the net from Bocklund and Hedlund at the 12:43 mark.

Augsburg outshot Finlandia by a 31-24 margin in the game. Grace Edgar (SR, Plano, Texas/Plano West HS) earned the win in goal for the Auggies with a 23-save effort, while Stephanie LaMore (SO, Dexter, Mich.) took the loss for the Lions, making 26 saves.

Augsburg returns to action with an exhibition series with AHCA club squad Lindenwood (Mo.) on Saturday and Sunday (1/8-9), with both games at 2 p.m. at the Ed Saugestad Rink. Finlandia hosts Wisconsin-Eau Claire in a weekend series on Friday and Saturday (1/7-8).
