Auggies tie St. Mary's 1-1

WINONA, Minn. -- Jessica Larkin (JR, Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville South HS) scored the lone goal of the game for Augsburg College, and Crystal Amunrud (FY, Coon Rapids, Minn.) collected 34 saves in goal to preserve the draw, as the Auggies tied host St. Mary's University 1-1 in overtime in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's hockey game on Saturday afternoon at the SMU Ice Arena.

Larkin scored her fourth goal of the season at the 2:45 mark of the third period, assisted by Diana Bocklund () and Rachel Hennessy (FY, Williston, N.D.).

Making her third collegiate start, Amunrud stopped 34 of the 35 shots she faced to score the win, as St. Mary's (5-8-4 overall, 2-5-3 MIAC) outshot Augsburg (5-7-5 overall, 2-7-1 MIAC) by a 35-16 margin.

Sarah Gustafson had 15 saves in goal for St. Mary's. The Cardinals tied the game at the 10:31 mark of the third period, as Haley Coolsaet scored from Jess Pederson and Brooke Bartelt.

Sara Rajewsky (FY, Murdock, Minn./Benson HS) had three shots on-goal for the Auggies, while Diana Bocklund (JR, Pine Springs, Minn./Mahtomedi HS), Casey Miller (FY, Bemidji, Minn.), Nicole Gorr (JR, Crystal Lake, Ill./Crystal Lake South HS) and Sandra Hinz (JR, Stockholm, Sweden/Solna Gymnasium HS) had two shots each.

Augsburg returns to MIAC play next weekend with a series against St. Olaf. Friday's (2/3) game is at 7:30 p.m. in Northfield, Minn., and next Saturday's (2/4) game is at 7 p.m. at Ed Saugestad Rink.
