BOXSCORE ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Abbey Luger (SO, Oakdale, Minn./North St. Paul HS) posted her first collegiate double-double, but it wasn't enough as the Augsburg College women's basketball team suffered a 65-57 loss to Hamline University in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action on Wednesday night at Hutton Arena.

Unfortunately for the Auggies, Hamline was able to draw a foul as time ran out and hit both free throws to give the Pipers a 31-28 lead as the teams headed to the locker room for halftime.

The second half remained close for the majoitry of play. Augsburg led 52-51 with 4:21 left in the action, but Hamline put together an 8-0 run which gave the hosts a 59-52 lead with just under two minutes to play. Augsburg cut the Piper lead to 59-55 with 1:28 to play, but the Auggies weren't able to finish the rally and fell to the Pipers 65-57.

For the game, Augsburg shot 38.9 percent (21-of-54) from the field, while the Pipers were converted on 40.0 percent (22-of-55) of their shot attempts. Augsburg claimed the advantage on the boards, outrebounding Hamline by a 36-31 margin and claimed a 20-8 advantage in points in the paint.
