MENDOTA HEIGHTS, Minn. -- The Augsburg College women's hockey team dropped a 5-0 decision to the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action on Sunday afternoon at the St. Thomas Ice Arena.
The Tommies (13-8-2 overall, 9-6-1 MIAC) outshot the Auggies (6-10-7 overall, 3-10-3 MIAC) by a 38-15 margin and scored twice on power plays in the game.
Brianna Schulz (FY, Prior Lake, Minn.) collected 20 saves in goal in 32:46 for Augsburg, with
Alex Hall (SO, Burnsville, Minn.) recording 13 saves in relief.
Morgan Olson scored two goals for the Tommies, with Paige Baldwin, Christina Rozeske and Kaylee Keys scoring the other Tommie goals. Meghan Parker had three assists, with Korinne O'Connor and Katy Kvasnicka getting two assists each.
For Augsburg,
Casey Miller (FY, Bemidji, Minn.) had five shots on-goal, with
Jessica Larkin (JR, Lakeville, Minn./South HS) recording three shots and
Erica Berthold (JR, Issaquah, Wash.) recording two shots.
Augsburg closes its season next weekend with an MIAC series against Concordia-Moorhead, with both games at Ed Saugestad Rink. Next Friday's (2/24) game is at 7 p.m., and next Saturday's (2/25) game is at 2 p.m.
