Ferguson's career-best leads Auggies

TOURNAMENT RESULTS

COLFAX, Wis. -- Jill Ferguson (JR, Batavia, Ill.) shot a career-best 84 to tie for sixth place overall, leading the Augsburg College women's golf team in its final meet of the 2011-12 season, the Wisconsin-Stout Blue Devil Invitational on Thursday at the Whitetail Golf Course.

Ferguson led the Auggies to a season-best 369 score, placing third in the four-team meet. Host Wisconsin-Stout won the single-round meet with a 329 score, while Wisconsin-River Falls was second with 356, Augsburg was third with 369 and St. Catherine was fourth with 380.

McKay Karl (SO, Belle Plaine, Minn.) shot a career-best 94 to tie for 14th in the 23-golfer meet. Courtney Barthel (FY, St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville HS) shot 95 to place 16th, Ashley Lindemann (SO, Fargo, N.D./Fargo South HS) shot 96 to place 17th, Margaret Hughes (SO, Mendota Heights, Minn./Cretin-Derham Hall HS) shot 99 to place 18th and Emilee Howe (JR, Eden Prairie, Minn.) shot 102 to tie for 20th.
