Auggies top UW-River Falls 1-0

BOXSCORE RIVER FALLS, Wis. -- Bri Clark (SR, Mound, Minn./Mound-Westonka HS) scored her fifth goal of the season, and Lexi Felix (FY, Kailua, Hawaii/Iolani HS) collected her second collegiate shutout in goal, as the Augsburg College women's soccer team scored a 1-0 victory over the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in a nonconference game on Monday afternoon at Ramer Field.

Clark scored just 3:47 into the game, assisted by Brooke Vroman (SO, Cottage Grove, Minn./Park HS) and Molly Allen (SO, Stillwater, Minn.).

"This was a good win. UW-River Falls is a tough team that posed some problems for us. We received contributions from several players, which was critical to our success today," said Augsburg head coach Mike Navarre.

Augsburg (6-3-0 overall) outshot Wisconsin-River Falls (4-4-1 overall) by an 8-7 margin. Felix claimed two saves in goal to earn the shutout win. Rebecca Kramer had three saves for the host Falcons.

Clark and Carly Reimer (SR, Eagan, Minn./Henry Sibley HS) had three shots each in the game for the Auggies.

Augsburg returns to action on Wednesday (9/26) at 7:30 p.m., hosting St. Benedict in a Homecoming week game at Edor Nelson Field.

"Now we return our attention back to the MIAC for a huge game on Wednesday against last year's co-champs, St. Benedict," Navarre said.
