MEET RESULTS
STILLWATER, Minn. --
Rachel Kristofferson (SO, Park Rapids, Minn.) and
Hannah Shafer (JR, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Park Center HS) tied for medalist honors, leading the Augsburg College women's golf team to a dual-meet victory over Bethel University on Saturday at the Logger's Trail Golf Course.
Augsburg topped Bethel by a 352-376 margin. The 352 team score was Augsburg's lowest since the Auggies shot a 347 in the final round of the 2010 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships on Oct. 4, 2010.
Kristofferson and Shafer each shot collegiate career-best rounds of 85 to earn medalist honors. Kristofferson was competing in her first meet as an Auggie after competing at Bemidji State University last season.
Courtney Barthel (SO, St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville HS) and
Katie Kristofferson (FY, Park Rapids, Minn.) each shot rounds of 91 to tie for sixth place.
Emilee Howe (SO, Eden Prairie, Minn.) shot a collegiate career-best 95 to tie for eighth, while
McKay Karl (JR, Belle Plaine, Minn.) shot 100 to place 11th.
Carlee Nasifoglu (FY, Hopkins, Minn./Minnetonka HS) shot 106 to place 14th and
Jill Ferguson (SR, Batavia, Ill.) shot 110 to place 15th.
Augsburg competes at two meets hosted by Concordia-Moorhead this weekend at the Wildflower Golf Course in Detroit Lakes, Minn. -- the Concordia Cobber Open on Friday (9/7) and the Concordia Invitational on Saturday and Sunday (9/8-9).
