Brianna Schulz (SO, Prior Lake, Minn.) collected 28 saves in goal for Augsburg College, but two University of St. Thomas power-play goals gave the Tommies a 2-0 victory over the host Auggies in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's hockey game on Friday evening at Ed Saugestad Rink.
Morgan Olson (SO, Oak Grove, Minn./Totino-Grace HS) and Christina Rozeske (JR, Owatonna, Minn.) scored power-play goals for the Tommies (11-7-2 overall, 10-4-1 MIAC), as the Tommies went 2-for-3 on the power play in the game.
St. Thomas outshot Augsburg (6-14-2 overall, 2-11-2 MIAC) by a 30-25 margin.
Kayla Fuechtmann (FY, Circle Pines, Minn./Centennial HS) had six shots on-goal for Augsburg, while
Rachel Hennessy (SO, Williston, N.D.) and
Megan Bergland (FY, Thief River Falls, Minn.) had four shots each.
The Tommies opened the scoring with Olson's power-play goal at the 6:06 mark of the first period, assisted by Tara Baago (SO, Eagan, Minn./Henry Sibley HS) and Maria Bothwell (JR, North St. Paul, Minn.). Rozeske scored on the power play at the 10:49 mark of the third period, assisted by Baago and Megan Juricko (FY, Eagan, Minn.). Taylor Neisen (FY, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Breck HS) stopped all 25 shots she faced in goal for St. Thomas.
Friday's contest was the final home game for seven Augsburg seniors:

The Auggies and Tommies complete the MIAC series on Saturday (2/16) at 2 p.m. at the St. Thomas Ice Arena in Mendota Heights, Minn. The game will be televised on KSTC-TV, Channel 45 in the Twin Cities.
