Rachel Hennessy (SO, Williston, N.D.) scored her team-leading ninth goal of the season for Augsburg College in the second period, but a goal early in the third period gave Bethel University a 2-1 victory over the host Auggies in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's hockey game on Friday evening at Ed Saugestad Rink.
Bethel (10-8-2 overall, 7-4-2 MIAC) outshot Augsburg (6-12-2 overall, 2-9-2 MIAC) by a 37-17 margin, including a 20-4 advantage in the third period.

Brianna Schulz (SO, Prior Lake, Minn.) stopped 35 shots in goal, marking her 11th game this season with 30 or more saves. Schulz now has a .935 save percentage, with 617 saves, on the season.
Jill Larson (FY, Maple Grove, Minn.) scored for Bethel from Molly Eagles (SR, Falcon Heights, Minn./Roseville HS) at the 17:47 mark of the first period, and Cristina Masten (JR, Fergus Falls, Minn.) scored the eventual game-winner from Caroline Kivisto (FY, Dassel, Minn./Dassel-Cokato HS) and Kalie Johnson (SO, Richfield, Minn.) at the 1:20 mark of the third period.
Hennessy claimed an unassisted goal at the 5:33 mark of the second period for the Auggies. The goal was Hennessy's 29th of her 45-game collegiate career. She ranks seventh in career goals in Augsburg program history, and her 44 career points (29 goals, 15 assists), moving her into an 11th-place tie in Augsburg career history.
The teams will complete the MIAC series on Saturday (2/9) at 3 p.m. at the Schwan SuperRink in Blaine, Minn.
