BOXSCORE NORTHFIELD, Minn. -- The Augsburg College women's basketball team shot a season-low 23.1 percent in a 51-37 loss at Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference rival St. Olaf College on Saturday afternoon at the Skoglund Center.
Jill Tichy (SR, Excelsior, Minn./Minnetonka HS) led all players with 14 points, while adding five rebounds and a pair of assists for Augsburg (7-8 overall, 4-8 MIAC). Tichy has been the Auggies leading scorer this season, averaging 14.3 points per-game. She is ranked fifth in the MIAC in scoring average and has scored in double figures in all but one game this season.
St. Olaf (11-5 overall, 9-4 MIAC) was paced by Kim Cerjan, who scored 13 points with six rebounds and two steals. Elise Raney posted a team-leading seven rebounds for the Oles, while adding nine points and three blocked shots.

Marie Fitzgerald (SO, Fort Atkinson, Wis.), who finished with 10 points, three assists and a pair of rebounds.Â
Jenna Orth (SO, Melrose, Minn.) recorded a game-high eight rebounds, while adding three assists and three steals.
Both teams traded baskets over the opening minutes, and a Tichy 3-pointer at the 8:44 mark of the first half pulled the Auggies within four, bringing the score to 14-10. St. Olaf outscored Augsburg 11-2 over the remainder of the first half, as the Oles took a 25-12 lead into the locker room at intermission. St. Olaf led by as many as 22 points in the second half before going on to claim a 51-37 victory over the Auggies.
For the game, Augsburg shot a season-low 23.1 percent (12-of-52) from the field, while the Oles connected on 35.8 percent (19-of-53) of their shots. St. Olaf posted a 43-35 advantage on the boards, including 15 offensive rebounds for the Oles.
Augsburg returns to MIAC play on Wednesday (1/29) at 7:30 p.m., traveling to St. Peter, Minn. to take on Gustavus Adolphus College at Gus Young Court. It will be the second game of a three-game road trip for the Auggies, before returning home for a pair of MIAC contests.
