Auggies score 3-1 win at Hamline

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The Augsburg College volleyball team improved to 17-4 overall with a win in four sets over host Hamline University in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match at Hutton Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Ashley Peper (JR, Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS) recorded 23 kills to lead Augsburg in the victory. She hit .457, with just two errors in 46 attack attempts. Peper added 13 digs and had two blocks.
• Middle hitter Jessica Lillquist (JR, Sebeka, Minn.) also had a strong night, hitting an incredible .591, with 14 kills and just one error in 22 attack attempts, while also contributing three blocks.
• Colleen Ourada (SR, Omaha, Neb./Mercy HS) recorded 10 kills, hitting .237 (one error in 38 attack attempts), while claiming 11 digs, two service aces and five blocks (one solo).
• Setter Courtney Lemke (SO, Brownton, Minn./Glencoe-Silver Lake HS) claimed 47 assists and10 digs, and libero Mackensie Menke (SR, Prior Lake, Minn./Shakopee HS) had 28 digs.  
• As a team, Augsburg hit .321 in the match, with 54 kills against just nine attack errors in 140 attempts. The Auggies hit .412 (15 kills, 1 error, 34 attacks) in the fourth set.
• Augsburg had nine team blocks in the match, while Hamline did not record a team block.


BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• Ourada recorded her 15th kill-dig double-double of the season and 44th of her career.
• Peper recorded her ninth kill-dig double-double of the season, seventh in her last eight matches and 34th in her career.
• Lemke claimed her ninth assist-dig double-double of the season. 
• Lillquist's .591 attack percentage is a season-best for the Auggies in 2014.

FOR THE FOES
• Michelle Mattke led the Pipers with 10 kills and seven digs, while Caitlyn Gottwald and Stephanie Kaup had eight kills each.
• Vassi Prattas had 23 assists, Lynsey Reimer had 24 digs and Miquel Green had 12 digs.
