HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg outshot Gustavus by a 12-9 margin in the game. Both teams had five corner kicks.
• Ben Henry (SO, Manitowoc, Wis./Lincoln HS) had had four shots for the Auggies, while Festus Lamin (SO, Little Canada, Minn./Roseville HS), Barinedum Kordah (SO, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Park Center HS), Edi Becerra (SR, Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Minneapolis Southwest HS) and Bobby Kohl (SO, Shorewood, Wis.) had two shots each.

QUOTES FROM AUGSBURG HEAD COACH GREG HOLKER
• "To be, or not to be, that is the question ... We played out of their pressure quite easily and held possession very well -- especially in the second half when we pressed our lineup a little higher. That's when they had to foul us in order to create time to get behind the ball and pause their chase. We also created several more chances in front of the goal, but it wasn't to be."
• "The effort the guys put forward was tremendous and the performance was very sharp. This marks three matches in a row like that. Unfortunately we haven't been able to find ways to win ugly."
• "Ben Henry was extremely sharp, linking up our attack in central midfield. Edi was as calm as usual, allowing us to string passes together in bunches, and Aaron Wylie (JR, Des Moines, Iowa/Lincoln HS) provided some respite for others and kept the high level of the game going with his incisive passing and ability to play out of pressure."
• "Gustavus scored a fantastic goal -- maybe the goal of the year -- when Roth served early and deep to Murakami for the diving header at the back post. A really class goal. Hats off to them for that moment."
• "Now we are up against it when we host St. Olaf on Tuesday. We must get points in some way, shape, or form to keep playoff hopes alive. It's backs against the wall, and we will need all hands on deck."
