HOW IT HAPPENED
• After 70 minutes of scoreless soccer, Chicago took the lead on a goal from Julia Ozello, assisted by Kara Swan. The goal snapped a stretch of 481:27 of scoreless soccer that Augsburg had played, including four straight shutouts and parts of two other games.
• Chicago outshot Augsburg by a 22-2 margin, controlling possession for most of the game. The Maroons also had 12 corner kicks to Augsburg's two.
• Marta Anderson (SO, Mankato, Minn./Mankato East HS) and Molly Allen (SR, Stillwater, Minn.) had Augsburg's shots in the game.
• Guillou came up with 10 saves -- three in the first half and seven in the second half -- for the Augies.

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• The game was the final collegiate contest for five Augsburg seniors -- Allen, Bri Felton (SR, Fridley, Minn.), Taylor Kuramoto (SR, Rochester, Minn./John Marshall HS), Olivia Muyres (SR, Rochester, Minn./Lourdes HS),  and Abi Rodstein (SR, Eagan, Minn.).
• This season, Augsburg won the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular-season and playoff titles for the first times in school history, along with advancing to the NCAA playoffs for the first time. Augsburg's 17 wins were also the most in a single season in school history.

FOR THE FOES
• After Ozello's goal, the Maroons scored two more goals in a 1:09 span -- both by Meghan Derken and assisted by Ozello.
• Jacinda Reid scored the shutout win in goal for Chicago.
• Chicago entered the game ranked No. 16 in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America Division III national poll. Chicago will face Illinois Wesleyan in the third round of the playoffs next weekend.

QUOTES FROM AUGSBURG HEAD COACH MIKE NAVARRE
• "I am just really proud of our team. There is so much character and togetherness with this group. To win the MIAC regular season, the MIAC playoffs, and advance to the second round of nationals were all great accomplishments. However, the real glory is found in simply being together. The coaches and players have a great balance of having fun and really striving to succeed. This group was determined to rewrite the history books and have fun doing it. They definitely achieved those objectives."
• "As far as the game goes, we knew it was going to be difficult as Chicago is a strong team. Once Chicago scored in the 71st minute, we had to commit more players forward and Chicago did well to take advantage of the open spaces and break us down to garner some insurrance goals. Nevertheless, I'm proud of the effort and thought we represented ourselves well in the tournament."
