BOXSCORE ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Claire Cripps (SO, Hutchinson, Minn.) and Rachel Hennessy (JR, Williston, N.D.) scored first-period goals for Augsburg College, but Hamline University rallied with three straight goals, including the game-winner at the 2:54 mark of overtime, as the Pipers claimed a 3-2 win over the Auggies in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's hockey game on Friday evening at the Warner Coliseum.

Augsburg (7-15-0 overall, 4-11-0 MIAC) struck first, with two goals in a 4:44 span in the first period. Cripps scored her sixth goal of the season from Kelsey Lyngdal (FY, Plymouth, Minn./Totino-Grace HS) at the 13:09 mark, and Hennessy scored her eighth goal of the season, an unassisted marker, at the 17:53 mark.

But Hamline (6-14-2 overall, 2-11-2 MIAC) rallied to tie the game. Jordah Verleye scored from Corinne Henning and Jenny Magill on the power play at the 6:57 mark of the second period, and Jaci Reinke scored with six seconds left in regulation time on an empty-attacker goal to force overtime.

Six seconds after an Augsburg player was whistled for a major penalty in overtime, the Pipers claimed the victory, as Magill scored from Henning.
