Late header gives Augsburg 2-1 win over Concordia

MINNEAPOLIS -- Barinedum Kordah (JR, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Park Center HS) scored on a diving header in the 80th minute, sending the Augsburg College men's soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Concordia College-Moorhead in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference contest on Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Kordah broke a 1-1 tie with a spectacular diving header at the 79:43 mark, completing a point-to-point passing play from Abdullah Alshayba (FY, Alkhobar, Saudi Arabia) and Mohamed Sankoh (SR, Shoreview, Minn./Como Park HS).
• Augsburg opened the scoring with a goal at the 25:25 mark, as Sankoh scored on a blast in the middle of the box from Hussein Abdullahi (SR, Minneapolis, Minn./South HS).
• Augsburg outshot Concordia by a 22-14 margin. Kordah had five shots, while Sankoh and Alshayba had four shots each.
Tommy Molski (SO, Woodbury, Minn./North St. Paul HS) had four saves in goal for Augsburg.
