QUOTES FROM AUGSBURG HEAD COACH MIKE NAVARRE
• " It's always tough to lose in the postseason. This year, the script was flipped. Unlike last year, where we had the rest and the home field, this year St. Thomas earned those advantages. That being said, I thought it was an even game, one we could have won. In the end it was St. Thomas who capitalized on a great scoring chance in the second half and made sure it stood up. They deserve to move on to the championship on Saturday."
• "Overall, I am proud of the team and what we accomplished this season. We lost half of our starting lineup and more starters to injury and still were able to finish only a point out of first place. A lot of credit goes to our two seniors, Lucy and Marie. They were rocks. They willed us to be successful this year. While Lucy and Marie's careers ended today, their legacy remains -- a legacy of sacrifice, championships won and lost, hard work and character. It's incumbent upon the rest of us now to honor their legacy by doing what we can to continue the ascension of our program."
