HOW IT HAPPENED
• Scott rushed 29 times for 142 yards and two touchdowns -- a one-yard score in the second quarter and a seven-yard score in the third quarter -- while completing 14-of-19 passes for 251 yards and two touchdowns. The game marked his 19th 100-yard rushing game of his career.

• Tyrell Martin (SR, West St. Paul, Minn./Henry Sibley HS) rushed 22 times for 159 yards and a two-yard touchdown run in the second quarter, while also catching five passes for 61 yards.
• Joey Sonnenfeld (SR, Maple Grove, Minn./Osseo HS) caught five passes for 116 yards and a 17-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter. The game marked his eighth straight 100-plus-yard receiving effort this season and 20th of his 29-game Augsburg career.
• The Pipers took an early 7-0 lead, but Augsburg scored 18 straight points to take an 18-7 lead -- a 17-yard touchdown pass from Scott to Cyrus Elliott (SR, Baldwin, Wis./Baldwin-Woodville HS) and rushing touchdowns by Martin and Scott.
• After Hamline cut the lead to 18-14 at halftime, Augsburg expanded the lead after a blocked punt by William Johnson (JR, St. Anthony Village, Minn.) at the Hamline 29-yard line. Five plays later, Scott scored on a seven-yard rush.
• Hamline cut the lead to 26-20 with a touchdown on its next drive, but Augsburg scored a two-point defensive point-after-touchdown, as Johnson blocked the point-after kick and Bobby Collins (JR, Lompoc, Calif.) returned the ball for the score.
• The Pipers again trimmed the lead to 28-26, but Augsburg used a 12-play, 75-yard, 6:27 drive to secure the final score of the game, a 17-yard touchdown pass from Scott to Sonnenfeld with 7:15 remaining.
