Abbey Luger (SR, Oakdale, Minn./North St. Paul HS) led the Augsburg College women's basketball team with 17 points but it wasn't enough as the Auggies fell 72-58 to Bethel University in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon at the Robertson Center.THE BASICSFINAL SCORE:Â Augsburg 58, Bethel 72

HOW IT HAPPENED• The Augsburg women trailed just three points (53-50) with 6:26 remaining in the game but Bethel used a key 12-2 run and was able to outscore the Auggies 19-8 over the remainder of the frame to seal the MIAC victory.
• Luger led Auggie offense with 17 points, while adding four rebounds.
• Jessica Lillquist (JR, Sebeka, Minn./Sebeka HS) also finished in double figures for the Auggies, finishing with 13 points and three assists.• Jenna Orth (JR, Melrose, Minn.) led the Auggies on the boards with five rebounds, while adding six points.
• Hannah Steinhaus (FY, Waterville, Minn./Waterville-Elysian-Morristown HS) finished with eight points on a 4-of-6 shooting afternoon.• For the game, Augsburg shot 42.1 percent (24-of-57) from the field, while Bethel connected 45.1 percent (23-of-51) of its shot attempts.• Bethel posted a 42-23 advantage on the boards.• Augsburg won the turnover battle, forcing 17, while only committing 13 -- the teams finished with 10 steals apiece.FOR THE FOES• Bethel finished with three players in double figures, led by Rachel Parupsky, who claimed the only double-double of the afternoon, scoring 18 points and pulling down 14 rebounds.
