Auggies close Pacific Northwest trip with loss at George Fox

NEWBERG, Ore. -- The Augsburg College women's lacrosse team closed out its Spring Break trip to the Pacific Northwest with an 18-5 loss to George Fox University (Ore.) in a nonconference women's lacrosse game on Thursday at the Austin Sports Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Ashley Pettipiece (FY, Mounds View, Minn./Irondale HS) and Katie Luschwitz (SO, Whitney Point, N.Y.) scored two goals apiece for Augsburg, with Lexi Halvorson (SO, Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville South HS) adding the other Auggie goal. Jesse Heusinkveld (FY, Mound, Minn./Mound-Westonka HS) had an assist for the Auggies.
• George Fox outshot Augsburg by a 36-11 margin in the game, including a 22-5 advantage in the first half, as it built a 12-2 halftime advantage.
• George Fox had 15 draw controls, compared to Augsburg's 10 in the game. Halvorson had six draw controls, while Delaney Everett (FY, Brooklyn Center, Minn./Champlin Park HS) had two.
