Augsburg improves to 7-1-0 with big road win

ST. JOSEPH, Minn. -- Nora Edelen (FY, Middleton, Wis.) and Marie Fitzgerald (SR, Fort Atkinson, Wis.) scored goals for Augsburg College, as the Auggies returned to Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's soccer play with a 2-0 win at the College of Saint Benedict on Wednesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Edelen opened the scoring with an unassisted goal in the 28th minute, her third goal of the season.
• Fitzgerald scored her team-leading sixth goal of the season in the 71st minute, putting home a header off a free kick by Lauren Jennings (SO, Rochester, Minn./Lourdes HS).
• Augsburg claimed the win despite being outshot for the first time this season, as Saint Benedict held a 10-6 advantage. Jane Koch (FY, Burnsville, Minn.) had three shots for the Auggies.

• Marissa Guillou (SO, Burnsville, Minn./Apple Valley HS) had five saves in goal for the Auggies, earning her third shutout of the season and Augsburg's sixth shutout as a team.
