HOW IT HAPPENED
• With the victory, Augsburg advances to the second round of the NCAA tournament for the second time in the last three seasons. Augsburg's opponent will be the same as it was two years ago -- the University of Chicago (Ill.), the regional host. The game will be played on Sunday (11/13) at 1 p.m. at Chicago. When the two teams met two years ago, Chicago claimed a 3-0 win. Chicago, ranked No. 11 in the latest National Soccer Coaches of America Division III national poll, advanced to the second round of this year's tournament with a 6-0 win over Webster (Mo.) on Saturday.
• Augsburg claimed its 18th victory of the season, setting a new program record for wins in a single season. The previous win mark was 17, set in the 2014 campaign (17-5-0). Augsburg has claimed double-digit victories in the last five seasons in a row and 10 times under 18th-year head coach
Mike Navarre.
• St. Aubin opened the scoring for the Auggies with a goal at the 26:13 mark, completing a long run to goal for her 16th marker of the season.
Carter Denison (SR, Minneapolis, Minn./South HS) was credited with an assist. The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year, St. Aubin's 16 goals are the most
among MIAC players in overall statistics and third-most in a single season in school history.
• Pemble scored her fifth goal of the season at the 72:29 mark, putting a loose ball home in front of the net on a scramble.
• Augsburg's defense stood firm yet again for its fourth straight shutout win and 15th of the season, tied for the most among MIAC teams this season. GoalkeeperÂ
Marissa Guillou (JR, Burnsville, Minn./Apple Valley HS) had four saves to claim her seventh shutout of the year and 20th of her career, moving her into fourth place in school history in the category. Augsburg defendersÂ
Ashley Waalen (SR, Amery, Wis.),
Hannah Whitington (SR, Eagle Lake, Minn./Mankato East HS) and
Trine Boeystad (FY, Rykkinn, Norway/Nadderud VGS) played the full 90 minutes in the game, while

QUOTES FROM AUGSBURG HEAD COACH MIKE NAVARRE
• "First, congratulations to MSOE on an outstanding season; they are certainly a strong team. We are obviously excited to advance to the next round and look forward to playing Chicago tomorrow. We last played Chicago in the second round of the NCAA tournament in 2014 and they are every bit as talented and deep as they were two years ago. The challenge will be great as we don't have our full compliment of players. Meanwhile, Chicago is clearly one of the top teams in the nation and have the benefit of being at home. However, we have a special group and will take the field determined and prepared."
