Auggies fall in nonconference game at Augustana

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. -- Helena Nguyen (SO, Maple Grove, Minn.) scored the lone goal of the game for Augsburg College in a 20-1 loss at Augustana College (Ill.) in a nonconference women's lacrosse game on Sunday morning.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augustana scored 19 straight goals before Nguyen scored on a free-position shot with 10:04 remaining in the second half.
• Delaney Everett (SO, Brooklyn Center, Minn./Champlin Park HS) had four shots for Augsburg, adding two ground balls.
• Izzy Snow (FY, Golden Valley, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong HS) had two draw controls and a ground ball.
• Christina Nelson (FY, Bloomington, Minn./Kennedy HS), Dezera Sieracki (JR, Wyoming, Minn./Centennial HS) and Sarah Hochman (SO, Bloomington, Minn./Kennedy HS) had two ground balls each.
• Marissa Guillou (SO, Burnsville, Minn./Apple Valley HS) had two saves in goal in 51 minutes of play, adding three ground balls and two caused turnovers. Hochman played the final nine minutes in goal for the Auggies.

• Augustana outshot Augsburg by a 26-6 margin and had 17 draw controls to Augsburg's five. The Vikings converted 9-of-12 clearing attempts, compared to the Auggies' 6-of-16.

FOR THE FOES
• Emily Handrahan scored three goals and added six assists for Augustana, while Anne Hopkins had three goals and an assist. Kaylee Nolan and Kendall Maduro also scored three goals each. 
• Olivia Mayer scored two goals, and Rebecca Pollard had a goal and three assists.
• Analia Fowler had two saves in goal in the first half, while Jenna Hofmann had a save in the second half.
