DUBUQUE, Iowa -- Augsburg College claimed a 15-4 advantage in shots, but a Loras College goal in the 36th minute was the only scoring of the game, as Loras topped Augsburg 1-0 in the women's soccer season-opener for both teams on Thursday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg outshot Loras 8-3 in the first half and 7-1 in the second half, while also holding a 7-0 corner-kick advantage in the game.
• Marissa Guillou (JR, Burnsville, Minn./Apple Valley HS) had two saves in goal in the first half for the Auggies, with Emily Chapman (FY, Elburn, Ill./Kaneland HS) making her collegiate debut in net in the second half.
• Ashley St. Aubin (FY, Burnsville, Minn.) had four shots in the game for Augsburg, while Brigette Jira (SO, Fort Atkinson, Wis.) and Marta Anderson (SR, Mankato, Minn./Mankato East HS) had three shots each.

FOR THE FOES
• Loras scored at the 35:40 mark, when Mackenzie Anderson claimed a turnover and got a shot past Guillou to the near post. 
• Maria Siebels had six saves in goal for the Duhawks.
