QUOTES FROM AUGSBURG HEAD COACH GREG HOLKER
• "Saint John's had a good game plan, and it worked in the first half. We were tempted by impatience and it ended up biting us when they got a chance for a long throw after a turnover in the middle third. We failed to clear and their kid with the hot hand stabbed another one into the lower corner."
• "I will say that their goalkeeper made a heck of a save on Lionel's free kick when he flew to dig it out of the top corner."Â
• "We battled back and really took over the game in the second half, drawing level on a set piece of our own. We finally got service past the first defender and Barney headed down to Christian, who bagged it from close range. They've given up a few goals like that recently and getting good service allowed us to take advantage of that."
• "The third goal came after another turnover in midfield, and then Rocky lobbed it in from 35 yards out. It was soft pressure from us in transition at a moment we were disoriented and then an uncharacteristic mistake from Tommy. Unfortunately, at that moment there were just 15 minutes to go and we became much too direct against a massive back line. Saint John's effectively killed off the game the way a more seasoned group should."
• "This league is so difficult -- every game is stressful and fun at the same time. Now we have to brush this one aside and get right back at it against a very good Bethel team on Saturday. They've had some difficult results of late, but they can take anyone down - and last year they took us down 2-0."
