MINNEAPOLIS --
Rayni Pemble (JR, Anoka, Minn.) scored two goals in a 1:15 span, both on rebounds on shots by
Ashley St. Aubin (FY, Burnsville, Minn.), as the Augsburg College women's soccer team claimed a 3-0 victory over the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in a nonconference contest on Thursday evening at Edor Nelson Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg dominated the offensive flow for the second straight game, outshooting UW-Eau Claire by a 15-4 margin, including an 11-1 advantage in the first half. Augsburg also had five corner kicks to the Blugolds' one.
• Pemble scored her first goal at the 29:22 mark, putting home a rebound off a St. Aubin shot that hit the right goalpost. Seventy-five seconds later, the two connected again, as Pemble scored off a St. Aubin shot that was saved by UW-Eau Claire goalie Samantha Lefaive.
• At the 61:17 mark, St. Aubin scored her team-leading third goal of the season, finishing off a feed from the left side by
Marta Anderson (SR, Mankato, Minn./Mankato East HS) and depositing it in the right corner of the net.
• Augsburg's two goalkeepers split the shutout win, with
Marissa Guillou (JR, Burnsville, Minn./Apple Valley HS) starting and collecting a save in the first half, and
Emily Chapman (FY, Elburn, Ill./Kaneland HS) recording two saves in the second half.
• St. Aubin had four shots in the game, while Pemble had three shots. Anderson,
Nora Edelen (SO, Middleton, Wis.) and
Trine Boeystad (FY, Rykkinn, Norway/Nadderud VGS) had two shots each.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• Augsburg has now outscored its opponents by a 7-1 margin through the first three games of the season. Last year, the Auggies outscored their opponents by a 51-15 margin.
• St. Aubin is currently tied for the lead among
Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference players in overall statistics in goals (three), assists (three) and points (nine).
FOR THE FOES
• Emily Sullivan had two of UW-Eau Claire's four shots in the game.
• Lefaive had six saves in 66 minutes in goal for the Blugolds, with Chloe Summerfield playing the final 24 minutes in relief.
