BLAINE, Minn. -- Behind a two-goal effort by
Callen Naasz (SR, Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville South HS) and a three-point afternoon by
Bridget Wagner (FY, Niles, Ill./Maine South HS), the Augsburg College women's hockey team held onto a share of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference lead with a 4-1 win and a series sweep of Bethel University on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg claimed its first series sweep of Bethel since the 2002-03 season, outscoring the Royals by an 8-2 margin on the weekend.
• Naasz claimed her first multi-goal game of the season and fourth of her career, scoring at the 10:36 and 17:55 marks of the second period, both goals assisted by Wagner.
• Wagner capped her first career three-point game with a goal fromÂ
Darby Lindgren (SR, Lakeville, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) at the 8:23 mark of the third period, her fourth goal of the season.
• Emily Ach (FY, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Park Center HS) opened the scoring for teh Auggies with an unassisted goal seven minutes into the game.

Rebecca Sonnek (JR, Edina, Minn.) stopped 26Â of the 27 shots she faced in goal to improve to 8-3-0 on the season for the Auggies.
• Bethel outshot Augsburg by a 27-26 margin in the game. Naasz and
Megan Johnson (SO, Madison, Wis./Memorial HS) had five shots on-goal each for the Auggies, while Ach had four shots.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• Augsburg has allowed just 17 goals in 15 games this season. Its 1.13 goals allowed per-game is tops
among MIAC teams in overall statistics and fourth-best
among NCAA Division III teams nationally.
• Sonnek has allowed only eight goals in her 12 games in goal. Her 0.73 goals against-average and .968 save percentage are both tops among MIAC goalies in overall statistics and second-best among NCAA Division III goalies nationally.
• Augsburg has allowed just four power-play goals in 65 opponent power-play opportunities this season. The Auggies' .938 penalty-kill percentage is tops among MIAC teams and sixth-best among NCAA Division III teams nationally.
FOR THE FOES
• Sarina Goos scored an unassisted goal for Bethel at the 4:34 mark of the second period.
• Maggie Straka had 22 saves in goal for the Royals.

• Augsburg returns to action with a series at Concordia-Moorhead, the team tied with the Auggies for the MIAC lead. Next Friday's (1/20) game is at 7 p.m., and next Saturday's (1/21) game is at 2 p.m.
