ARDEN HILLS, Minn. -- The Augsburg University women's volleyball team dropped a pair of matches at Bethel University on Saturday afternoon, claiming the No. 6 seed in the upcoming Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference postseason playoffs.
MATCH 1 BASICS
FINAL SCORE: Bethel def. Augsburg 3-1 (25-20, 25-22, 28-30, 25-19)

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Outside hitter
Jordan Weeding (SR, Greenfield, Minn./Rockford HS) paced the Auggies in the match against Bethel, finishing with a season-best 17 kills, along with two block assists.
• Setter
Morgan Malley (JR, Harmony, Minn./Fillmore Central HS) claimed her second triple-double of the season, finishing with 10 kills, 44 assists and 16 digs. Her 10 kills came on a .500 hitting clip, with just one error in 18 attack attempts. She also had a service ace in the match.

Taylor Linn (SR, Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS) had eight kills, eight digs and give blocks assists on the day, while
Corrina Evans (FY, Blaine, Minn./Blaine HS) had six kills and four blocks (one solo).

Macey Terhell (JR, Osceola, Wis./Osceola HS) had 29 digs, with
Tayah Barnes (FY, Preston, Minn./Fillmore Central HS) adding 13.
FOR THE FOES
• Tina Hoppe led the Royals with 16 kills, 15 digs and two blocks (one solo), while Kristin Stern had 15 kills and seven block assists.
• Bailey Israelson had 28 assists and eight digs. Dominique Dabu had 27 digs, with Brooke Olstad collecting 20 digs.

• Augsburg will be the No. 6 seed in the upcoming MIAC postseason playoffs, and will play a quarterfinal match at No. 3-seed Gustavus (23-5 overall, 8-3 MIAC) on Tuesday (10/31) at 7 p.m. in St. Peter, Minn. The teams played a thrilling five-set match this past Wednesday in St. Peter, with the Gusties prevailing 3-2. It is Augsburg's sixth MIAC playoff appearance in the last nine seasons.
