ARDEN HILLS, Minn. -- The duo of Ray Guyton Jr. (SR, Stockton, Calif./St. Mary's HS) and Nick Heenie (JR, Victoria, Minn./Waconia HS) combined for 149 receiving yards, with Heenie catching two touchdown passes, in the Augsburg University football team's 42-22 season-ending Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference loss at Bethel University on Saturday afternoon.

THE BASICS
FINAL SCORE: Bethel 42, Augsburg 22
LOCATION: Royal Stadium, Arden Hills, Minn.
RECORDS: Augsburg 4-6 overall (2-6 MIAC), Bethel 4-5 overall (4-3 MIAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Guyton matched career-highs in both receptions (11) and receiving yards (146) in his final collegiate game, while Heenie claimed his seventh 100-yard-plus receiving day of the season with nine catches for 103 yards, including two touchdown receptions from quarterback Quinn Frisell (JR, Plymouth, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong HS). The two combined for two second-quarter touchdowns -- a six-yarder and 17-yarder. Frisell completed 27-of-49 passing for 278 yards and two touchdowns.
• Augsburg took its only lead of the game on its first drive, as Tyler Hanson (JR, Prior Lake, Minn./Prior Lake HS) connected on a 32-yard field goal, capping a 13-play, 55-yard drive. But the Royals ran off 21 unanswered points in a 7:27 span overlapping the first and second quarters to take the lead for good. Augsburg trimmed the lead to 21-16 on Frisell's two touchdown passes to Heenie, including one with 20 seconds left in the half, but the Royals blocked an extra point and returned it for two points to take a 23-16 lead into the locker room at halftime.
• The Royals scored two touchdowns in the third quarter to take a 36-16 advantage, but the Auggies were able to cut into the lead after Tony Moonen (SO, Delano, Minn./Delano HS) recovered a blocked punt in the end zone for a touchdown with 13:06 left in the game. The Royals scored once more in the final two minutes for the final margin of victory.
• Bethel capitalized on three fumbles, turning two recovered in Auggie territory into touchdowns.
• Bethel outgained Augsburg by a 355-298 margin in the game, with the Bethel defense limiting the Auggies to just 20 net rushing yards. Bethel defenders sacked Frisell four times for 23 yards lost.
• Cornerback Jabri Guy (SR, Moline, Ill./Eagan (Minn.) HS) captured an interception late in the second quarter to set up Augsburg's final touchdown drive of the first half. It was his third interception of the year, tying teammate Isiah Malone (SR, Brooklyn Center, Minn./Park Center HS) and five other players for the MIAC lead in interceptions.
• Derek Glynn (SO, Lonsdale, Minn./Faribault HS), the MIAC's leader in overall stats in tackles with 100 (38 solo), had his sixth double-digit tackle game of the season, leading all players with 14 tackles (seven solo), including two tackles-for-loss, a sack and a pass breakup. Matt Bowlin (SR, Chaska, Minn./Holy Angels HS) had 11 tackles, and Mustafa Adam (SO, River Falls, Wis./River Falls HS), who ranks second among MIAC defenders with 93 tackles (33 solo), had 10 tackles (three solo), his third double-digit tackle total of the year. Josh Bentil (JR, Milwaukee, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran HS) had a quarterback sack, while Cole WiIlfahrt (SR, New Ulm, Minn./New Ulm HS) and Chris Barr (SR, Centerville, Ohio/Centerville HS) combined for another.
