Megan Johnson (SO, Madison, Wis./Memorial HS) and
Bridget Wagner (FY, Niles, Ill./Maine South HS) scored goals for Augsburg College, as the Auggies clinched a berth in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's hockey postseason playoffs for the second straight year, completing a series sweep of Hamline University with a 2-1 win on Saturday afternoon.

• All three goals in the game came on power plays, with Augsburg going 2-for-6 and Hamline going 1-for-5 with the player advantage.
• Johnson gave the Auggies a 1-0 lead with her fifth goal of the season, scoring at the 2:22 mark of the second period from
Ashley Kloncz (SR, Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville North HS) and
Valerie Whichello (SO, Woodbury, Minn./East Ridge HS).
• Wagner scored her seventh goal of the season at the 3:52 mark of the third period, scoring from
Callen Naasz (SR, Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville South HS) and
Danielle Heitkamp (SR, Bismarck, N.D./Grand Rapids (Minn.) HS).

Rebecca Sonnek (JR, Edina, Minn.) had 24 saves in goal for the Auggies, improving to 12-5-0 on the season.
• Johnson had seven shots on-goal for Augsburg. The Auggies were outshot by a 25-24 margin by the Pipers.

• Augsburg, ranked No. 10 in the latest
USCHO Division III national rankings, maintained sole possession of first place in the MIAC with 22 conference points, a point ahead of second-place Gustavus (13-5-3 overall, 9-2-3 MIAC). The Auggies clinched a berth in the five-team MIAC postseason playoffs with Saturday's win.
• With four games remaining in the regular season, Augsburg's 15 wins are now tied for the second-most wins in a full varsity-opponent season in program history, tied with a 15-10-2 record in 2003-04 and behind a 21-7-1 record in 1999-2000. Augsburg's 11 MIAC wins are one shy of the most in a single season in program history, behind the 12-1-1 league mark in 1999-2000.
• Sonnek's 12 wins, the most
among MIAC goalies in overall statistics, are now all alone as the second-most goalie wins in a single season in school history, passing
Erika Allen's 11-9-3 record in 2015-16. Meg Schmidt set the single-season goalie win record with a 17-6-1 mark in 1999-2000. Sonnek's .945 save percentage is tops among MIAC goalies, while her 1.23 goals against-average is second-best.
FOR THE FOES
• Bre Simon scored her 15th goal of the season at the 16:40 mark of the third period, assisted by Zoey Lobejko. Simon is now tied with teammate Darby Dodds for the MIAC's goal-scoring lead with 15 goals, while her 25 points are tied for the league lead.
• Annie Juergens had 22 saves in goal for Hamline.
