MINNEAPOLIS -- The Augsburg College baseball team played deep into the night on Tuesday at U.S. Bank Stadium, scoring a nonconference doubleheader sweep of the University of Wisconsin-Stout, winning 5-1 and 7-4.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS

Jamie Kaye (SO, Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS) pitched the second complete-game effort of his collegiate career, striking out six while walking one and allowing just five hits in his seven-inning effort. He kept the Blue Devils off the scoreboard until the bottom of the seventh inning.

Josh Marlowe (SR, North St. Paul, Minn.) hit his second home run of the year, a solo shot to right in the first inning. He then sparked Augsburg's four-run fifth inning, smacking a single to right to bring home the first run of the frame.

Jack Duffy (SR, Fridley, Minn./DeLaSalle HS) followed Marlowe's single with a sacrifice fly to plate another run, and
Clayton Bodine (SO, Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata HS) smacked a two-run single to right-center to cap the Augsburg scoring.
• Marlowe scored two runs for the Auggies, with
Rhett Hebig (SR, Apple Valley, Minn./Eastview HS),
Mike Snow (FY, Corrales, N.M./Sandia Prep HS) andÂ
Jordan DeCroock (JR, Farmington, Minn.) scoring the other Auggie runs.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
• Augsburg took an early lead, then scored six runs in its final three innings to score the sweep of the Blue Devils.

Jacob Kari (JR, North Branch, Minn.) evened his record at 1-1 with a strong pitching performance, striking out seven while walking one and allowing eight hits in 6.0 innings of work.
Dayton Danielson (FY, St. Charles, Minn.) pitched a scoreless seventh inning to earn his first collegiate save.

Jack Duffy (SR, Fridley, Minn./DeLaSalle HS) provided the biggest hit of the second game for the Auggies, hitting a three-run homer to left field to give the Auggies the lead for good.
• Augsburg plated two runs in the sixth inning, as
Walker Rogers (FY, Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Simley HS) scored on a balk, and Hebig drove in DeCrook on a single.
• Olheiser hit a double off the left-field wall to drive home Bodine in the second inning, and a sacrifice fly by Snow plated Bodine in the fourth.
• Hebig had two of Augsburg's eight hits in the second game.
FOR THE FOES
• Tim Bott hit a leadoff double in the seventh inning and came around to score on a sacrifice fly by Kyle Hamilton.
• Reid Ackerman and Ryan Connor had two hits each for UW-Stout in the second gmae, and Jordan Wilson drove in two runs.

• Augsburg travels to Tucson, Ariz., for 10 nonconference games during Spring Break week next week, starting on Saturday (3/11) at 5 p.m. (Central time) with a nine-inning game against Illinois Tech.
