ST. PETER, Minn. -- The Gustavus Adolphus College women's hockey team scored two power-play goals en route to building a 3-0 lead in the second period, eventually claiming a 3-1 win over visiting Augsburg University in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game on Saturday afternoon.

Bridget Wagner (SO, Niles, Ill./Maine South HS) scored the lone goal of the game for the Auggies, a power-play, extra-attacker goal from
Emily Ach (SO, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Park Center HS) and
Nikki Nightengale (SO, Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS) at the 15:38 mark of the third period. Wagner now has a team-best-tying seven goals on the season.
• Augsburg outshot Gustavus by a 29-26 margin, including a 13-5 advantage in the third period.

Megan Johnson (JR, Madison, Wis./Memorial HS) had four shots on-goal for the Auggies.

Rebecca Sonnek (SR, Edina, Minn./Edina HS) had 23 saves in goal.
FOR THE FOES
• Amelia Vosen scored the first two goals of the game for the Gusties, including a power-play marker. Diana Draayer also scored a power-play goal for Gustavus in the second period. Kristen Cash had two assists.
