ST. PETER, Minn. -- Running backs
RaQuan Cunnigan (SR, Madison, Wis./Memorial HS) and
Keith Anthony (SR, New Hope, Minn./Robbinsdale Cooper HS) combined for 133 rushing yards, but their Augsburg University football team was unable to score in a 42-0 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference loss at Gustavus Adolphus College on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Cunnigan rushed 11 times for 72 yards, while Anthony rushed 17 times for 61 yards in the game. But rushing yardage losses limited the Auggies to 59 net rushing yards, as the Auggies had just 98 yards of total offense in the game.
• Meanwhile, Gustavus compiled 289 yards of total offense and scored on five of its first six possessions of the first half to take a commanding 35-0 lead at halftime. The Auggies limited the Gusties to just one touchdown in the second half, and gained the ball twice on turnovers, a fumble and an interception.
• Defensively,
Camdin Carlson-Mathies (FY, Sauk Rapids, Minn./Sauk Rapids-Rice HS) led the Auggies with nine tackles (five solo), including a tackle for loss.
John Martin (SO, North Oaks, Minn./Roseville HS) had eight tackles (four solo) and an interception.

Clayton Byrd (SR, Circle Pines, Minn./Centennial HS) had seven tackles (one solo), with a tackle for-loss,
Derek Glynn (JR, Lonsdale, Minn./Faribault HS) had six tackles (one solo) with a fumble recovery, and
Collin Feld (JR, Baraboo, Wis./Baraboo HS) had five tackles (three solo) with a tackle for-loss.
FOR THE FOES
• Gustavus quarterback Michael Veldman completed 13-of-19 passes for 181 yards and a touchdown, on a five-yard pass to Ellis Hirman.Â
• David Peal rushed for two touchdowns for the Gusties, while Rafael Soriano had a rushing touchdown and Brayton Finch was credited with a rushing score on a fumble recovery in the end zone.
• Brady Miller had six tackles (two solo) with a tackle for loss, and Zachary Jakes had a quarterback sack.
UP NEXT
• Augsburg is idle next week, and returns to action with its final home game of the season on Nov. 3 at 1 p.m., hosting Bethel at Edor Nelson Field.
