HOW IT HAPPENED
• Playing in back-to-back games against the Oles, Augsburg claimed its second straight 2-0 victory to advance to the MIAC playoff semifinals. The No. 3-seed Auggies will play at No. 2-seed Bethel University (13-3-1 overall) on Wednesday (10/31) at 2 p.m. In their only meeting this season, Augsburg beat Bethel 2-1 in overtime on Sept. 15 at Edor Nelson Field.
• Like Saturday's meeting with the Oles, the game was scoreless at halftime, and two goals in quick succession early in the second half gave the Auggies the lead.Â
• Wiskofske struck first for Augsburg at the 47:04 mark, taking a slicing feed from St. Aubin in the center of the penalty box and pushing her shot past the St. Olaf goalkeeper.
• At the 52:57 mark, St. Aubin scored her
MIAC-leading 19th goal of the season, setting and tying Augsburg single-season scoring records. With her 19 goals and 48 points, she tied
Olivia Muyres single-season record for goals (19) and broke the record for points (47), both accomplished in the 2013 season.
• Goalkeeper
Emily Chapman (JR, Elburn, Ill./Kaneland HS) had eight saves to pick up her 10th shutout of the season -- tops among MIACÂ goalkeepers. She tied Augsburg's single-season record for shutouts, 10, set by Maggie DeGroot in both the 2006 and 2008 seasons. Augsburg's 11 shutouts as a team are also tops in the MIAC.
• For the second straight game, Augsburg outshot St. Olaf by a 23-14 margin. St. Aubin had eight shots, while
Ana Ortiz (FY, Waterloo, Iowa/Columbus Catholic HS) had four shots. Wiskofske and
Gabriela Encarnacion (JR, Bel Air, Md./Bel Air HS) had three shots each.

QUOTES FROM AUGSBURG COACH MIKE NAVARRE
• "Credit to the players for responding well to our halftime adjustments and coming out and getting two quick goals. Now we will do our best to recover quickly and be as ready as we can to play Bethel tomorrow. Bethel has had an outstanding season and will surely present a difficult challenge tomorrow. It should be a great game!"
