ST. PAUL, Minn. -- In a hard-fought game throughout, the Augsburg University men's soccer team scored a 1-1, two-overtime tie in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action at Hamline University on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg jumped out to an early lead, as
Eduardo Gomez (SO, Bloomington, Minn.) scored his third goal of the season, an unassisted tally, on a breakaway just 3:05 into play.
• The Auggie lead lasted until the 77th minute, when Hamline tied the game at 1-1 on a close-in header.
• Hamline outshot Augsburg by a 15-13 margin, with both teams recording three shots in the 20 minutes of overtime. Both teams also had seven corner kicks in the game.

Garrett Kaelin (JR, Stillwater, Minn./Hill-Murray HS) had five saves in goal for the Auggies.

Emmanuel Egbujor (SR, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Champlin Park HS) had six shots in the game, while
