Cross country wraps up season at NCAA Regional

MEN'S RESULTS | WOMEN'S RESULTS

WAVERLY, Iowa. -- The Augsburg University men's and women's cross country teams competed the 2018 season at the NCAA Division III Central Regional on Saturday afternoon at Wartburg College. 

THE BASICS
WOMEN'S TEAM RESULTS: Incomplete team
MEN'S TEAM RESULTS: 27th/31 (838)
LOCATION: Wartburg College, Waverly, Iowa. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Augsburg men were led by Mohamed Salad (FY, Minneapolis, Minn./South HS), who finished 125th overall with a 27:22.4 clocking over the 8,000-meter course. 
Ryan Moore (SR, St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville HS) was the next Auggie to cross the line, with a time of 28:43.2.
• Setting a personal-best time, Gregory Miller (SO, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Park Center HS) recorded a time of 29:12.0. Kevin Sethre (FY, Berthoud, Colo./Berthoud HS) finished in 29:34.3, while Jackson Gerber (JR, Grantsburg, Wis./Grantsburg HS) clocked a 30:26.4, which is a personal-best. Rounding out the Augsburg contingent was William McLeer (SO, Cobb, Wis./Iowa-Grant HS), who finished in 30:53.2.
• Pacing the Augsburg women was Ann Sheely (FY, Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater Area HS), who finished 113th overall with a 24:36.9 clocking, her personal-best. 
Grace Hartman (FY, Anoka, Minn./Anoka HS) also set a personal-best time in 30:23.4. 
Allison Mangan (SO, Roberts, Wis./Wisconsin Virtual Academy HS) and Jasmine Gonzalez (SO, Red Lake, Minn./Flandreau Indian School) finished with times of 30:56.1 and 36:21.3 respectively. 

FOR THE FOES
• On the men's side, Tris Dodge of Carleton claimed medalist honors with a time of 24:51.3, while Wartburg took the team title finishing with 52 points. 
• Carleton took home the women's team title with 64 points, with Carina Collet of Wartburg earning medalist honors with a 21:45.9 clocking.
