LA CROSSE, Wis. -- Augsburg University women's basketball players Kaezha Wubben (JR, Minneapolis, Minn./Hopkins HS) and Camryn Speese (JR, Bloomington, Minn./DeLaSalle HS) were both named to the All-Tournament Team for their performances at the Holiday Inn Express Thanksgiving Classic. Despite their strong performances, Augsburg suffered its first loss of the season, a 65-44 setback to the host University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on Sunday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The first half was a tightly contested affair, with four tied scores and eight lead changes over the first 20 minutes of action, giving UWL a narrow 25-24 lead at the intermission. The third quarter ended up being the difference-maker in the game, with the Eagles outscoring the Auggies 28-9 in the frame, a lead Augsburg wasn't able to overcome as the Auggies fell for the first time this season.
• Speese led Augsburg with her first point-rebound double-double of the season. She finished with 11 points on 4-of-8 shooting from the floor, while pulling down a season-best 11 rebounds and adding a pair of assists.

Tamira McLemore (JR, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) scored seven points for the Auggies, while
Aiza Wilson (JR, Minneapolis, Minn./DeLaSalle HS) chipped in six points and
Pashia Scott (SO, Fridley, Minn./Colombia Heights HS) added five.
• For the game, Augsburg was held to a season-low 29.1 percent (16-of-55) shooting, while UWL connected on 37.3 percent (22-of-59) of its shot attempts. The Eagles held a narrow 41-40 advantage on the boards.
FOR THE FOES
• UW-La Crosse finished with three players in double figures, led by Delaney Schoenenberger, who finished with a game-high 16 points.
• Ava Kramer and Emma Gamoke added 14 and 12 points respectively for the Eagles.
