STEVENS POINT, Wis. -- Outshooting the hosts by a 34-9 margin, the Augsburg University women's hockey team scored a 2-0 nonconference victory at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Friday evening.

Mikayla Jones (JR, Oak Park Heights, Minn./B.E. Emerson Prep HS) opened the scoring with her third goal of the season, assisted by
Bridget Walter (SR, Princeton, Minn./Princeton HS), 5:45 into the game.
• The Auggies added an insurance goal at the 12:08 mark of the third period, as
Ellie Tabaka (JR, Maplewood, Minn./Tartan HS), a transfer from St. Thomas, scored her first goal as an Auggie, a shorthanded marker from
Emily Ach (JR, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Park Center HS).

Annie Juergens (JR, Lino Lakes, Minn./Centennial HS) stopped all nine shots she faced to claim her second shutout this season and the sixth of her collegiate career.

Megan Johnson (SR, Madison, Wis./Memorial HS) had six shots on-goal, while
Bridget Wagner (JR, Niles, Ill./Maine South HS) had five shots. Ach and Jones had four shots each.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• Augsburg has yet to give up an opponent power-play goal in 37 opportunities this season,
one of just three NCAA Division III women's hockey teams that have yet to give up a power-play goal. Plattsburgh State (N.Y.) has killed off all of its 47 opponent power-play opportunities, and Amherst (Mass.) has not allowed a goal in 18 opponent power plays.
