TUCSON, Ariz. -- The Augsburg University baseball closed its week-long trip to the Tucson Invitational Games on Friday, with a split of a doubleheader with Carroll University (Wis.). Augsburg won the first game 6-2, while dropping the second game 10-6.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS

Dayton Danielson (SO, St. Charles, Minn./St. Charles HS) threw his second complete game during his week in Arizona, striking out seven while not walking a batter and allowing just seven hits.
• Augsburg scored an unearned run in the second inning, but Carroll went ahead with two runs in the top of the third. In the bottom of the inning, the Auggies went ahead for good, asÂ

Jordan DeCroock (SR, Farmington, Minn./Farmington HS) and

• Augsburg had just five hits in the game, but also had six walks and took advantage of three Carroll errors.
• For the Pioneers, Hunter Frey hit a two-run single in the third inning, and Mitch Carlson hit a double.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
• Augsburg trailed 9-1 after five innings, but scored four runs in the sixth and one run in the seventh to keep the game close.
• A triple by Tyler led off the fifth inning, and he came home on a sacrifice fly by Bodine.
• In the sixth, a
Donovan Tomony (SO, Madison, Wis./Madison East HS) single plated Erikson and Turner, Rogers scored on a wild pitch, and DeCroock hit a sacrifice fly to bring home Tomony.
• Tomony went 3-for-4 in the second game, while Bodine and
Joe Rydel (JR, Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake HS) each went 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Quentin Lake (FY, Portland, Ore./Menlo HS) and
Ryan Kain (SR, Gurnee, Ill./Warren Township HS) each struck out two in relief of starter
Darius Uditsky (FY, St. Louis Park, Minn./Holy Family HS).
• For Carroll, Jacob Langford went 4-for-4 with five RBI and a double. Sam Harmeyer went 2-for-3 with three RBI. Andrew Stone struck out nine while walking three in five innings of work to pick up the win.
