AURORA, Ill. -- Behind a balanced attack, the Augsburg University women's lacrosse team clinched a berth in the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference postseason playoffs for the third straight year, claiming its fourth straight victory with a 10-4 triumph at Aurora University on Sunday morning.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• A four-goal scoring run over an 11-minute span in the first half gave Augsburg the lead for good, taking a 6-3 advantage into the locker room at halftime. Augsburg then scored four goals in the second half to clinch the victory.

Allie Tuccitto (FY, Rosemount, Minn./Eastview HS) led the Auggies in scoring for the second straight game, with three goals to go along with two ground balls. Over her last five games, Tuccitto has scored 14 goals with five assists for 19 points.

Izzy Snow (JR, Golden Valley, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong HS) scored two goals with an assist, adding four draw controls. Snow now has 61 points (41 goals, 20 assists), standing thirdÂ
among MWLC players in overall statistics in points, second in assists and sixth in goals. Her 61 points are a single-season school record. She has scored a goal in 14 of Augsburg's 15 games so far this season.

Helena Nguyen (SR, Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove HS) scored two goals with three ground balls. Nguyen stands third among MWLC players in overall goals with a single-season school-record 49, and her 54 points are sixth-most among MWLC players.

Christina Nelson (JR, Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS) scored a goal to give the defender/midfielder five on the season. She added four ground balls and two caused turnovers in the game.

McKenna Ellena (FY, Wales, Wis./Kettle Moraine HS) scored a goal with three ground balls and two caused turnovers, and
Mikayla Knudson (SO, Zimmerman, Minn./Elk River HS) scored a goal with three ground balls, a caused turnover and a ground ball.

Delaney Everett (SR, Brooklyn Center, Minn./Champlin Park HS) had two assists, to go along with three draw controls, a ground ball and a caused turnover, and
Citlaly Escobar (FY, New Brighton, Minn./Irondale HS) had five ground balls and four caused turnovers.

Marissa Guillou (SR, Burnsville, Minn./Apple Valley HS) had eight saves, along with five ground balls and two caused turnovers.
• Augsburg converted all five of its free-position shots, while Aurora did not score on six free-position shots.Â
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• In its third year in MWLC play, Augsburg claimed its third straight berth in the MWLC postseason playoffs. The four-team tournament is scheduled to be held May 4-5 at the site of the league's regular-season champion, with the winner earning a berth in the NCAA Division III national tournament.
• The win was the first for Augsburg over Aurora in program history. Aurora had won the previous three meetings, including a game in the 2016 MWLC tournament.
• Augsburg's nine conference victories are its most in its three seasons in the MWLC, and Augsburg's 11 overall wins are one shy of the program's high-water mark, its 12-6 overall record last season.

• Ellie Blake scored two goals, while Kerli Kuuseoks and Andrea Colford had the other Aurora goals.
• Reilly Armstrong had two saves in goal, to go along with five ground balls and a caused turnover.
UP NEXT
• Augsburg hosts Concordia-Wisconsin in the regular-season finale for both teams on Friday (4/27) at 11 a.m. at Edor Nelson Field. The game will likely decide the second and third seeds in the MWLC tournament, as both teams have 9-1 conference records, behind league-leader Hamline's 10-0 MWLC mark. If the standings hold, Augsburg and Concordia-Wisconsin would play in back-to-back games, as they would meet in the playoff semifinals.
