MINNEAPOLIS -- The Augsburg University men's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season, falling 4-1 to the University of Wisconsin-Superior in nonconference action on Tuesday evening.

Daniel Hedstrom (JR, Hermantown, Minn./Hermantown HS) scored the lone goal for Augsburg in the contest, putting home a corner kick from
Nick Zuchowski (FY, Wales, Wis./Kettle Moraine HS) in the 53rd minute to cut the Yellowjacket advantage to 3-1.
• Last year's Upper Midwest Athletic Conference playoff champions and an NCAA Division III national tournament participant, UW-Superior outshot Augsburg by a 19-7 margin in the game, including 11 shots on-target compared to four for the Auggies. Augsburg had seven corner kicks to UW-Superior's three.

Lionel Vang (JR, Little Canada, Minn./Roseville HS) had three shots, including one on-target, in the game, while Hedstrom had two shots on-goal.
