PLATTEVILLE, Wis. -- The Augsburg University men's soccer team's game at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville was cancelled due to severe weather in southwestern Wisconsin on Sunday afternoon.
The game was halted with 27:12 left in the second half, with UW-Platteville leading 2-0. The game was declared cancelled and will not be made up, according to the UW-Platteville athletic department. According to NCAA rules, because the game did not reach the 70-minute mark, the game will be officially a "no contest," with records and statistics not counting.
Augsburg (1-0-0 overall) returns to action on Thursday (9/6) at 7:30 p.m., hosting Crown in a nonconference game at Edor Nelson Field.
