MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- The Augsburg University volleyball team finished 3-1 at its own Augsburg Invitational, recording a sweep of Wartburg College and a four-set win over the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on Saturday.

THE BASICS - AUGSBURG VS. WARTBURG
FINAL SCORE: Augsburg def. Wartburg 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, 26-24)

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST WARTBURG
• The Augsburg offense was too much for the Knights to handle, with the Auggies out-hitting the Knights by a .244 to .183 margin, sweeping in straight sets. 
• Megan Quam (JR, Kenyon, Minn./Kenyon-Wanamingo HS) had match-best 12 kills, hitting an impressive .500. Kayla Gjerde (FY, Afton, Minn./Stillwater HS) was right behind Quam with 10 kills.
• With a match-high 32 assists, Morgan Malley (SR, Harmony, Minn./Fillmore Central HS) paved the way for the Auggie offense. Malley also had match-best five service aces. 
• Macey Terhell (SR, Osceola, Wis./Osceola HS) had 27 digs, while Sydnie Zachary (JR, Apple Valley, Minn./Bloomington Jefferson HS) had 12 digs and Stephanie Hechsel (SR, Apple Valley, Minn./Apple Valley HS) added 10 digs. 

FOR THE FOES (WARTBURG)
• Jayme Willemssen led the Knights with 11 kills, while adding six digs. 
• Mallary Erbes tallied 27 assists and 16 digs, while Katie Foster added 17 digs.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST UW-LA CROSSE
• The Auggies continued to play well, winning against a solid Eagles team in four sets. Both teams had 53 kills but the Auggies had the advantage in hitting percentage of .244 to the Eagles' .131. 
• Kayla Gjerde (FY, Afton, Minn./Stillwater HS) led the way for Augsburg offensively with 12 kills, hitting .387. Corrina Evans (SO, Blaine, Minn./Blaine HS) and Megan Quam (JR, Kenyon, Minn./Kenyon-Wanamingo HS) both had nine kills. Quam added five block assists and two digs, while Evans contributed four block assists and four digs. 
• Morgan Malley (Harmony, Minn./Fillmore Central HS) posted the only double-double of the day for Augsburg, finishing with 40 assists and 11 digs, while chipping in five kills and a pair of blocks. 
• Three other Auggies had double-digit dig totals - Macey Terhell (SR, Osceola, Wis./Osceola HS) had match-best 25, Sydnie Zachary (JR, Apple Valley, Minn./Bloomington Jefferson HS) added 22, and Jaelin Rios (JR, Champlin, Minn./Totino-Grace HS) had 18. 
• Jade Boysen (FY, Rochester, Minn./Mayo HS) helped the Auggies with seven kills and five blocks. Zachary also contributed with eight kills and an ace. 

FOR THE FOES (UW-LA CROSSE)
• Abbey Fox had a dominant game for the Eagles, posting a triple-double with 10 kills, 39 assists, 15 digs. 
• Rhiana Pochman also had 10 kills and Courtney Conway had a team-best 24 digs.
