Quran Al-Hameed (JR, Woodbury, Minn./Woodbury HS) rushed 30 times for 190 yards and two touchdowns, as the Augsburg University football team closed its 2019 season by recapturing "The Hammer" traveling trophy from its Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference rival, Hamline University, with a 12-9 road victory on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Trailing 7-0 late in the second quarter, the Auggies' first touchdown was set up by a wild defensive play, as
Shaquille Young (FY, St. Paul, Minn./Tartan HS) stripped the ball from the Hamline quarterback and handed it to
Eric Reichwaldt (FY, Burnsville, Minn./Apple Valley HS), who returned it 59 yards to the Hamline 21-yard line. Three plays later, Al-Hameed rushed 11 yards for a touchdown to cut the Hamline lead to 7-6.
• The Auggies took the lead late in the third quarter, when a nine-play, 88-yard drive covering 5:00 was capped by Al-Hameed's second touchdown of the game, another 11-yard run.

Derek Glynn (SR, Lonsdale, Minn./Faribault HS) led the Auggies with 11 tackles (five solo), marking his ninth game this season with double-digit tackle totals. He ended the season with anÂ
MIAC-leading 116 tackles (45 solo).

Steven Edwards Jr. (SR, Kissimmee, Fla./Liberty HS) had seven tackles (five solo), including 2.0 tackles for-loss and a forced fumble, and
Austin Kincade (SR, Mound, Minn./Mound-Westonka HS) had two interceptions.
Lorenzo Hernandez (SR, New Ulm, Minn./New Ulm HS) and
Collin Feld (SR, Baraboo, Wis./Baraboo HS) also had interceptions for the Auggies.

FOR THE FOES
• Kaden Smith scored Hamline's lone touchdown, on a 52-yard fumble recovery in the second quarter.
• Connor Leavens completed 19-of-36 passes for 223 yards, but was intercepted four times. Tanner Lunceford caught six passes for 125 yards.
• Carson Reinard led all players with 16 tackles (eight solo).
